Terms & Conditions

Cakes are special. Every birthday, every celebration ends with something sweet, a cake, and people remember. It’s all about the memories.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR WEDDING CAKE BOOKING

1) Only a deposit secures your date. To book your wedding, £100 non-refundable deposit is required.

2) Wedding cake tasting/consultation should be booked up to 6 months before wedding day. This should be pre-arranged and agreed verbally or in a written agreement. Please note consultation cost £15 and is usually booked for weekends. Couples get to select a choice of 4 cake flavours and 3 fillings for tasting.

3) Balance of cake payment should be fulfilled at least 1month before the wedding day.

4) Cake design can be modified up until 1month before the wedding, as at when full payment would have been made.

5) In the event of a cancellation, a 14-day notice should be given upon which 50% of the payment will be refunded. If notified later than 14 days unfortunately no refund will be authorised work on cake may have already been started.

6) Delivery and set up incur a separate cost. Delivery cost will be based on wedding location whilst labour incurred whilst setting up is £10/hour.

7) Stands are available to hire for an additional cost and will be reflected in the overall price of cake. Please notify me on consultation if this would be required. Stands cost £35 with a refundable deposit of £10. Please note stand must be returned within a period of 48 hours.

 

 

INGREDIENTS AND ALLERGIES 

At Bim’s Delight, we bake from scratch and use the best quality ingredients sourced from our local supermarkets. During initial consultations, clients are asked about possible allergies which are fully taken into consideration whilst preparing cake order. All clients are advised to disclose all allergies when placing their order. Allergen information will be made available for every order. 

Terms and Conditions

  1. This agreement is between you (the customer) and Bim’s Delight (the cake designer). By proceeding with a purchase, you are agreeing to Bim’s Delight terms and conditions. Bim’s Delight reserves the right to withdraw this agreement at any time.

 

QUOTATION AND PAYMENT

  1. Any quote provided is valid for 5 days and once accepted no changes can be made. Any changes made following acceptance and payment will be subject to a fee.
  2. Each quote is uniquely tailored to a specific client and should be treated as such.
  3. Payment should be made once quote is received. A non-refundable deposit is required for orders over £100 whilst full payment is required for orders under £100.
  4. Only payment secures booking for a specific date. Client should please not that there are no credit notes offered.

 

ORDER

  1. Where the client has an allergy to a specific ingredient, please inform us at the time of your order.

 

DELIVERY

  1. All cakes are delivered to the address specified by client. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that someone will be present at said location for delivery of cakes.
  2. Once the cake has been delivered to client, it becomes the liability and responsibility of the client and Bim’s Delight will not be held responsible for any damage to the cake caused by mishandling. A release form will be signed if the cake is being accepted by a third party.
  3. In humid conditions, client should ensure that the cake is kept in a cool environment prior to the event.

 

CANCELLATION

  1. In case of a cancellation, client should notify Bim’s Delight as soon as possible. Initial deposits are non-refundable. However if outstanding balances paid within 4 weeks of the occasion and there is a cancellation, you will be refunded. If the cancellation is less than 7 days to your event, there will be no refunds issued.

  1. Kindly note that all cakes are photographed as part of Bim’s Delight portfolio development.

 

DATA PROTECTION

  1. As part of our data protection, we do not share client’s details to anyone outside of company unless authorised to do so.

 

COMPLAINTS

  1. Should there by any complaints, this must be reported within 24 hours and should be directed via email info@bimsdelight.co.uk to be resolved promptly.
